Chris Singer, Project Assistant
Chris hails from the East Coast and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Purchase College with a Bachelors in Literature. Chris has worked for several non-profits (Lutheran Social Services, Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County, Michigan Peace Team) doing development, outreach, and fundraising. As a volunteer, Chris has done activism and organizing around issues related to Africa, refugees, immigration, and racial justice.

Chris met Jackson through an African Book Club he was coordinating. Chris fell in love with Nyaka almost immediately and helped start the Michigan Friends of Nyaka. Chris welcomes this opportunity at Nyaka and sees it as the opportunity of a lifetime and is looking forward to using his skills in fundraising and outreach to enhance the great work already going on.
