| Welcome to the NYAKA Volunteer and Visitor Guide Nyaka AIDS Orphans School was started in 2001 to offer education to AIDS orphans in Kambuga, Kanungu District, in Southwestern Uganda. Nyaka is a primary school offering free education to AIDS orphans. Nyaka School is helping to mitigate the impacts of an illiterate society and provide these children with a future. In 2008, Nyaka school will become a full-fledged primary school for levels 1-7. Enrollment currently stands at 210 students. In 2007, the Nyaka model was replicated in a village 48 miles away. Kutamba School has 90 students in levels 1-3. Volunteer Programs Nyaka has many opportunities for volunteers, teams and mission groups, and all those interested in impacting the life of a child. The only qualification is your willingness to serve and experience life like you have never done before. At Nyaka, you will find an opportunity to make a lasting impact! Skills Needed Construction workers, managers, doctors, nurses, teachers, fundraisers, and college and high school students in all fields are welcome. Whatever your interest is, you have the opportunity to make a difference, and you will also learn so much from them and the community they live in. List of our programs:
