Welcome to the Nyaka Comfort Doll Project
The Nyaka Comfort Doll Project is a collaborative project led
by Barbara Kroberger from Pennsylvania Friends of Nyaka.
Currently, Barbara is in the process of making dolls for us to
take on our trip to Nyaka in December.
As we continue to meet the basic needs of our students
at Nyaka and Kutamba, we are increasing our focus on
providing our children with psychosocial support, trauma
counseling, and bereavement support. The comfort dolls
will provide some of that to our children, especially during
the night time, as many of our children have nightmares as
they try to sleep at night.
