Clean Water Gravity System
The Clean Gravity-Fed Water System was constructed in 2005 with the help of three professors from UC Davis, Rockefeller Foundation, and the UK. The system provides clean water to Nyaka, two other primary schools, two churches and more than 120 households in the community. The number of people utilizing this clean water is estimated at 9,800. In 2007, we were able to expand our system to bring water to 8,000 more people.

The value of this water system for the community is incredible. Not only is the community being provided with a clean water but women who previously had to walk for miles to gather water are being saved from becoming the victim of assaults as had previously happened without having tap systems placed throughout the community.
